This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the structural design and engineering of residential and commercial building projects for the US market. You’ll work on structural components and framing solutions, translating engineering requirements into accurate and practical designs. The position combines technical design expertise with project coordination, documentation, and client interaction. You’ll work with tools such as Advance Steel and AutoCAD while applying relevant structural codes and industry standards. The role requires a solid understanding of wood and steel structures, load calculations, foundations, lateral systems, and shear wall design. You’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to expected quality standards. Accountabilities:
Design structural components for a variety of residential and commercial building projects, with a focus on US-based projects.
Develop structural drawings and models for wooden residential buildings, steel structures, and related framing systems.
Apply knowledge of multifamily framing, load calculations, beam loads, shear wall design, foundations, lateral systems, and frame sizing.
Prepare engineering concept plans, detailed design drawings, structural documentation, and project deliverables.
Use Advance Steel and AutoCAD to develop accurate and detailed structural drawings and models.
Ensure designs comply with client requirements, applicable US structural codes, recognized engineering standards, and project specifications.
Review structural requirements and finalize appropriate frame sizes and design solutions based on engineering calculations.
