Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) About The Role We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join our engineering team. You'll work across the stack ? from building performant, user-facing features in React to designing scalable backend systems in Java ? while owning the infrastructure and operational practices that keep everything running reliably in production.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who's comfortable moving between application code, system design, and infrastructure.

What You'll Do

- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features using Java (Spring Boot or similar) on the backend and React on the frontend
- Architect and evolve database schemas; plan and execute data migrations with minimal downtime and no data loss
- Design for scale: implement appropriate caching strategies for the application, optimize query performance, and reduce latency across the stack
- Scale applications to handle growing load ? identifying bottlenecks and designing for horizontal/vertical scalability across the stack
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO) to enable fast, safe, and frequent deployments
- Own deployment and orchestration using containers and Kubernetes (pods, clusters, services)
- Collaborate with DevOps/SRE practices ? monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response using Azure Monitor ? to ensure system reliability and observability
- Drive engineering best practices: code reviews, testing strategy (unit/integration/e2e), documentation, and technical design docs
- Act as a solution architect for features and systems ? evaluating trade-offs, designing scalable and maintainable solutions, and documenting architectural decisions
- Participate in architectural decisions and mentor junior and mid-level engineers
- Debug and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design,



and other engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

What We're Looking For

- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant full-stack ownership
- Strong backend experience in Java (Spring/Spring Boot ecosystem preferred)
- Solid frontend experience in React (hooks, state management, component architecture)
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Practical experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes ? pods, deployments, services, clusters)
- Solid understanding of database architecture (relational ? PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server) ? schema design, indexing, and query optimization
- Experience planning and executing data migrations in production environments
- Ability to choose and implement the right caching approach for a given application (in-memory, distributed, CDN, etc. ? not tied to a specific tool)
- Demonstrated experience scaling applications ? diagnosing performance bottlenecks and designing systems that scale with load
- Strong solution architecture skills ? able to design end-to-end technical solutions and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure
- Experience with Azure Monitor (or similar) for logging, metrics, alerting, and observability
- Strong grasp of software engineering best practices: testing, code review, version control workflows, secure coding
- Strong testing mindset ? writes thorough test coverage and proactively thinks through edge cases and failure scenarios, not just the happy path
- Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor) as part of the daily development workflow
- Excellent communication skills and experience mentoring other engineers

Nice to Have

- Exposure to NoSQL databases
- Prior experience in a platform, DevOps, or SRE-adjacent role
- Contributions to system design or architecture at a previous company
