Design and analyse structural elements such as foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and retaining structures. Prepare structural drawings, reports, calculations, and technical specifications. Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Conduct site inspections to monitor construction, verify design implementation, and resolve technical issues. Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and project teams to ensure coordination across disciplines. Perform structural assessments of existing buildings and recommend retrofitting/strengthening measures. Use structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SECURE, SAP2000, AutoCAD and Revit). Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material specifications. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
