We are looking for a talented Power Transformer Electrical Designer to join our team at GE Vernoa Vadodara (Large Transformer India). This role requires a skilled designer with a solid foundation in power transformer and shunt reactor electrical design, including internal connections with a robust background in transformer test requirements including DIL (Design Insulation level) chart Preparation and basic knowladge in design tools like DFMEA. An understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools would be an advantage. The position may require occasional travel for project-related activities.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Deatail design electrical process for power transformers and shunt reactors, focusing on internal connections, performance optimization, overall system functionality.
- Drawing of insulation structure, prepare bill of material, ordering specification, DIL & clearance chart, review with cross function
- Contribute to tender proposals, understanding customer requirement and summarisation, Optimisation of electrical design of transformers and reactors.




- Ensure that designs adhere to verious standards and regulations such as IS, ISO, IEC, IEEE, and other industry-specific guidelines.
- Contribute to Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) to assess potential risks and design weaknesses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Work closely with internal engineering teams, external suppliers, and clients to ensure the integration of electrical designs with other systems and provide technical support as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of design specifications, reports, and compliance with industry standards. Document any changes to designs, materials, and processes.
- Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel to project sites, customer locations, or partner facilities for design reviews, installation, troubleshooting, and support.
