Software Engineer I role focused on frontend delivery in React/TypeScript, with secondary responsibility for Java/Spring backend contributions. Engineer builds and supports customer and agent experiences across checkout, payment, fulfillment, and account workflows in a microservices + workflow-orchestrated platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, test, and ship frontend features using React and TypeScript.
- Integrate UI with backend services and APIs.
- Implement and support scoped Java/Spring Boot backend changes tied to frontend/user-flow outcomes.
- Contribute to workflow-driven features where asynchronous processing impacts UX and order lifecycle behavior.
- Troubleshoot production defects across frontend, API, and data layers.
- Write and maintain automated tests (unit/integration) and support release validation.
- Collaborate with product, QA, UX, and peer engineers in agile delivery.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2+ years software development experience in production environments.
- 2+ years hands-on React and TypeScript experience.
- Working experience with Java and Spring Boot for REST API development/support.
- Experience with SQL and relational data troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills; effective cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in e-commerce, order management, payments, or fulfillment systems.
- Exposure to Temporal or similar workflow orchestration platforms.
- Experience with cloud-native deployments (GCP preferred), Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Familiarity with enterprise authentication/authorization patterns (SSO/SAML).
- Experience operating in microservice architectures with distributed debugging.
