This role offers the chance to provide technical leadership for a business intelligence and client reporting platform serving enterprise healthcare organizations.
You will shape the backend architecture across multiple interconnected services, data sources, and processing workflows.
The position combines hands-on software engineering with responsibility for technical direction, architecture, and engineering standards.
You will help the team navigate complex technical challenges while ensuring systems remain scalable, secure, observable, and maintainable.
Working closely with Product, QA, and engineering teams, you will influence priorities, dependencies, and architectural decisions.
You will also mentor engineers and contribute directly to high-risk or ambiguous technical initiatives.

Accountabilities
Own the technical roadmap for backend services covering reporting, data access, scheduled processing, and export and delivery capabilities.
Drive architectural decisions across multiple interdependent services and data sources, documenting key decisions and technical direction for the engineering team.
Establish and maintain engineering standards covering code quality, testing, API design, observability, and overall system reliability.
Review technical designs and code, provide constructive feedback, and help engineers resolve complex technical challenges.
Translate ambiguous business and product requirements into clear, actionable technical plans that engineering teams can execute.
Balance short-term delivery priorities with long-term system health, proactively identifying, prioritizing, and managing technical debt.
