Software Test Engineer – Job DescriptionJob Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through comprehensive testing and defect identification.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, defect tracking, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze software requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
- Execute test cases and document test results accurately.
- Identify, report, track, and verify software defects.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to resolve issues.
- Perform retesting and regression testing after defect fixes.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide inputs from a testing perspective.
- Maintain test documentation, test reports, and testing records.
- Ensure software products meet quality and business requirements before release.
- Support automation testing activities where required.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Required Skills
- Robust knowledge of Software Testing and Quality Assurance concepts.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.




- Experience in writing and executing test cases.
- Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Good defect reporting and tracking skills.
- Familiarity with defect management/testing tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing is preferred.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman is an advantage.
- Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in software testing/QA will be preferred.
- Freshers with good knowledge of software testing may also be considered.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
