Job Role - Intern Software Engineer (MERN + Next.js)
Job Type: Full-Time Paid Internship
Mode: WFO - Onsite
Location: Pune
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days
Experience: 0 - 6 months
Most internships hand you a sandbox. This one hands you a branch, a ticket, and a code review.
At Kreeda Labs, interns work inside the same repositories as everyone else. You will pick up real tickets, push code that goes live for enterprise clients, and have your pull requests reviewed line by line by engineers who have shipped systems at scale.
About Kreeda Labs
We are an AI and full stack product engineering company based in Pune. We have delivered 75+ production systems for 40+ clients across three continents, spanning fashion, HR tech, healthcare, insurance, eLearning and supply chain.
Our work includes engagements with Ralph Lauren, Tata Group / Tata Play, Patanjali and Multiversity.
What You'll Do
You will join a product engineering pod and contribute across the stack: React and Next.js on the front end, Node.js and Express on the back end, MongoDB or PostgreSQL underneath, and cloud deployment at the far end.
- Develop features across the stack on live client products
- Build and integrate REST APIs, handle authentication flows, and work with third-party services
- Translate UI designs into responsive interfaces using Tailwind CSS or Material UI
- Work with an existing codebase rather than starting from a blank file every time
- Debug issues and dig for the root cause before escalating
- Follow Git-based workflows, raise clean pull requests, and act on review feedback
What We're Looking For
This is a hands-on development role. We are looking for someone who has already written code in a professional or project setting.
Must have
- Strong JavaScript fundamentals, with TypeScript exposure an advantage
- Hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js
- Backend exposure with Node.js and Express.js
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and API integrations
- Working knowledge of MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL
- Practical experience with Git and GitHub
- Some exposure to AWS, Azure or GCP
- One or two real-world projects you can walk us through and defend
Positive to have
- Docker fundamentals, authentication patterns, basic testing, CI/CD awareness
- Exposure to AI and LLM API integration
- Experience with Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools
You do not need every technology on this list. Fundamentals, practical exposure and learning speed matter far more to us than the length of your skills section.
The 2026 Engineering Mindset The way software gets built is changing quickly, and we hire with that in mind. We look for people who use AI-assisted tools well and can still read, review and defend every line that ends up in the repository. People who pick up unfamiliar frameworks without waiting for a course, who understand the full cycle from build to deploy to maintain, and who adapt when priorities shift.
What's In It for You
- Real production exposure on enterprise-grade products
- Direct mentorship from senior engineers and founders, with code review as a daily habit
- Visibility into how AI-first products are architected, built and deployed
- Work that ships, gets used, and shows up on your portfolio with your name on it
This Role May Not Be for You If
You want to observe and learn without owning any deliverable, you prefer detailed instructions over ambiguity, or you want a slow and predictable six months.
