Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Software Engineer at Growblic.

The Software

Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs that support secure, privacy-centered applications. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, well-structured, and testable code; participating in code reviews; debugging and optimizing systems; and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate ethical, user-focused requirements into technical solutions. The role also involves contributing to architectural decisions,



improving development workflows, and ensuring systems align with Growblic’s principles of clarity, security, and responsibility.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming using modern languages and frameworks.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, building APIs, integrating services, and working with databases.
- Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Experience with secure coding practices, privacy-aware system design, and basic knowledge of application security.
- Comfort working in remote, team-oriented environments with version control (e.g., Git) and Agile or similar methodologies.
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus, as is prior work on ethical or human-centered technology.
