Role Description The Senior Java Software Engineer will work full time remote, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable Java-based applications and microservices. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and testable code, participating in architectural decisions, reviewing code, and ensuring best practices in performance and security.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with web and mobile applications that support DataMetricks’ digital marketing solutions.



The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, optimizing existing services, and contributing to continuous improvement in development processes and tooling.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in core Software Development and Programming, with a focus on object-oriented design and clean coding practices.
- Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework (including Spring Boot) for building robust backend services.
- Experience designing and implementing Microservices architectures, including RESTful APIs and service integration.
- Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, caching, and message queues.
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a quick-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and knowledge of security and performance best practices are beneficial.
