Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer to support development and enhancement activities related to European E-Invoicing processes . The role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining scalable SAP solutions, with a strong focus on RAP/CSD development, third-party integrations, and SAP Notes implementation .

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in modern S/4HANA ABAP development and a good understanding of invoice-related processes and integrations in a European regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP S/4HANA solutions using ABAP and modern S/4HANA development frameworks .




- Design and develop applications using RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) , including CSD/CDS-based development as applicable.
- Develop and enhance CDS views, custom business objects, services, and APIs required for E-Invoicing processes.
- Support integration between SAP S/4HANA and third-party applications/platforms involved in European E-Invoicing.
- Develop and maintain integration interfaces using relevant SAP technologies, APIs, OData, IDocs, web services, and other appropriate integration mechanisms.
- Analyze and implement relevant SAP Notes, corrections, and legal/regulatory updates related to E-Invoicing functionality.
- Work closely with functional consultants, integration teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform technical analysis, debugging, unit testing, defect resolution, and performance optimization.
- Support country-specific E-Invoicing requirements and changes across European markets.
- Ensure developments follow SAP S/4HANA clean-core and development best practices wherever applicable.
- Prepare technical specifications and maintain appropriate technical documentation.
- Support deployment, testing, and production issue resolution.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP development .
- Good experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) .
- Experience with CDS/CSD development and modern S/4HANA extensibility concepts.
- Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects, debugging, enhancements, BAdIs, exits, and performance optimization .
- Experience developing and consuming OData services and APIs .
- Hands-on experience with integration between SAP and third-party applications .
- Good understanding of interfaces such as REST/SOAP APIs, IDocs, XML/JSON , and related integration technologies.




- Experience with SAP Notes implementation , including analysis of prerequisites, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA standard functionality and extensibility frameworks .
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, transport management, and production support processes.

European E-Invoicing Experience

- Experience working on SAP E-Invoicing / electronic invoicing solutions is highly desirable.
- Understanding of European E-Invoicing regulations and country-specific requirements .
- Exposure to invoice data formats such as XML/UBL and relevant e-invoicing standards is an advantage.
- Experience integrating SAP with external E-Invoicing providers, tax platforms, or government portals is preferred.
- Knowledge of Peppol and EN 16931 standards would be an added advantage.
- Experience analyzing and implementing SAP legal/regulatory updates related to invoicing is preferred.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience , preferably with significant experience in S/4HANA.
- Demonstrated experience in RAP/CDS development and SAP integrations .
- Experience working in global or European SAP implementation/support environments is preferred.

- Experience with SAP integration platforms such as SAP Integration Suite/CPI .
