Cloud TST – Robotics Application Developer (Staff): Staff Robotics & Embodied AI Engineer – Python | ROS2 | Computer Vision No of Open Positions - 2

The Opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on Staff Robotics & Embodied AI Engineer to build next-generation robotics and intelligent physical AI experiences for enterprise innovation programmes. The role will focus on developing Python-led robotics applications, ROS2-based integration, computer vision pipelines, embodied AI workflows and simulation-to-hardware validation for humanoids, quadrupeds, mobile robots and manipulators.

You will be responsible for executing tasks with increasing autonomy, applying sound judgment within defined parameters, and contributing to team outcomes. You are expected to demonstrate initiative, resolve routine issues independently and support junior colleagues.

You will anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with senior members of the team. In line with client’s commitment to quality, you’ll confirm that work is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.

Skills and attributes for success





Must-have robotics and AI engineering skills

- Robust hands-on Python programming for robotics, automation, AI model integration, computer vision and system orchestration.
- Practical ROS2 experience, including nodes, topics, services/actions, robot control workflows, navigation or manipulation integration.
- Working knowledge of C++ for robotics or performance-sensitive integration components.
- Experience with computer vision and perception frameworks such as OpenCV, YOLO, depth cameras or similar robot perception tools.
- Exposure to embodied AI, VLM/VLA models, PyTorch, HuggingFace or related model integration workflows.
- Experience with simulation tools such as MuJoCo, Isaac Sim/Lab, URDF/MJCF or equivalent robotics validation environments.
- Understanding of robot hardware interfaces, sensors, robot SDKs, edge devices and deployment troubleshooting.

Delivery, collaboration and quality attributes

- Ability to break down ambiguous robotics concepts into working prototypes, demonstrable workflows and repeatable engineering assets.
- Strong problem-solving discipline across field testing, hardware debugging, perception issues, calibration challenges and deployment validation.
- Comfortable collaborating with experience designers, AI engineers, hardware teams,



architects and client stakeholders.
- Strong ownership, documentation and communication skills, with the ability to present technical work through live demonstrations.

Ideally, you’ll also have

- Experience with Unitree G1/GO2/A2, Franka Research 3, Agilex, Jetson Orin or similar robotics platforms.
- Exposure to NVIDIA GR00T, SpatialVLA, OpenVLA, RT-2, ACT, Moondream, LLM-enabled robotics or foundation-model-based robot control.
- Experience in offline AI patterns, edge AI deployment, on-device NLP, VLM-powered perception and robotics applications with limited or no internet dependency.
- Experience creating client-facing prototypes or live robotics demonstrations for enterprise innovation centres, labs or experience centres.
- Awareness of safe human-robot interaction, demo readiness, fallback design and operational constraints in physical AI deployments.

What We Look For

We look for builders who can combine hands-on robotics engineering with practical AI implementation. The ideal candidate should be comfortable writing Python, integrating ROS2 systems, connecting AI models to physical robot behaviours and taking prototypes from simulation into live hardware demonstrations.

This role is suited for a staff-level lateral hire who can contribute immediately to robotics and embodied AI initiatives, help create client-ready demonstrations and strengthen Client’s capability in physical AI, autonomous systems and next-generation enterprise experiences.
