- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects in Jira or a comparable tool; verify fixes and run regression testing before release.
- Maintain complete test evidence, defect records, quality documentation, release-readiness status, known issues, and risk assessments.
- Conduct field or environmental testing when required,

including power-loss, temperature, vibration, long-duration, connectivity, and recovery scenarios.
- Partner with hardware engineers, firmware and software developers, product managers, and support teams to resolve issues and strengthen product quality.

- Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), defect life cycle, and release testing.
- Experience testing both software applications and physical hardware devices, including hardware-software integration and embedded or firmware-based systems.
- Understanding of device connectivity and communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, TCP/IP, MQTT, GPS, and data-transfer workflows.
- Basic understanding of electronics, circuits, sensors, firmware, and hardware test equipment.
- Experience with defect-tracking and test-management tools, preferably Jira,

plus familiarity with Git or another version-control system.
- Experience testing APIs with Postman or a similar tool.
- Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot failures, reproduce issues reliably, and report findings clearly.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience testing IoT, consumer-electronics, automotive, camera, mobile, web, or cloud-connected products.
