TechSimba is looking for a Python / Django Backend Developer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience to join our in-house development team.

- Job Type: Full time | On-Site
- Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh
- Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000/month
- Reporting To: Senior Developer

? About the Role You will work on a new in-house Retail Management System , building the backend from the ground up using Python, Django, Django REST Framework, and PostgreSQL .

You will work closely with our Senior Developer, Project Manager, and frontend developer to build a reliable system where data accuracy, stock management, taxation, payments, and business logic are critical.

? Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend services using Python, Django & Django REST Framework
- Design and document REST APIs for React + TypeScript frontend
- Design complex relational data models using PostgreSQL
- Implement transactions, database constraints, locking and data-integrity rules
- Write automated tests for pricing, tax, payments, returns and inventory
- Customize Django Admin for back-office operations
- Implement background jobs using Celery
- Generate and validate Tally-compatible XML exports
- Debug, profile and optimize database queries
- Follow Git branching, pull-request and code-review practices




- Work closely with the Senior Developer to deliver production-ready code

✅ Required Skills

- 2–3 years of professional Python & Django experience
- Strong Django REST Framework knowledge
- Good experience with PostgreSQL
- Understanding of:
- Database transactions
- select_for_update
- Unique & Check constraints
- Indexing
- Data integrity
- Experience writing automated tests using Pytest or Django Test Framework
- Good Git knowledge
- Ability to understand and implement written technical specifications
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi

⭐ Preferred Skills

- POS / ERP / Inventory / Accounting / Billing / E-commerce experience
- Knowledge of Indian GST
- Understanding of HSN, credit notes, tax-inclusive pricing and rounding
- Celery & Redis
- Docker
- Advanced Django Admin customization

❌ Not Required You don't need experience in:
- React / Frontend development
- Mobile development
- DevOps
- UI/UX design
