Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable Python backend services and API-oriented applications.

Design and implement REST APIs using FastAPI and Uvicorn, including validation, dependency injection, async processing, and logging.

Build and maintain Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers supporting front-end workflows.

Integrate backend services, databases,



and external systems with robust error handling and testing.

Troubleshoot product issues across backend code, APIs, logs, databases, front-end behavior, and deployments.

Work effectively within a microservices architecture and contribute to service design decisions.

Develop unit, API, integration, and regression tests using appropriate mocks and fixtures.

Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product teams while taking ownership of assigned deliverables.

Required Skills Strong hands-on Python development, preferably Python 3.10.

Proven experience with FastAPI and Uvicorn.

Strong understanding of REST APIs, API validation, error handling, and service-to-service integrations.

Experience with BFF/API layers and backend integration.

Good understanding of microservices architecture.

Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.

Experience with unit testing, API testing, integration testing, mocks, fixtures, and regression testing.

Strong communication, ownership, and problem-solving skills.

Valuable To Have Skills Angular v17 experience.

Kubernetes basics: Pods, Services, Logs, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and readiness/liveness probes.

Docker and CI/CD experience, including automated testing and release builds.

Experience with product support, triage, issue reproduction, and root-cause analysis.

Knowledge of authentication, session handling, token refresh, and multi-user scenarios.

Exposure to scientific, device-driven, or laboratory workflow applications.
