About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and organized Purchase Coordinator to join our team in Malappuram. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating procurement activities, managing vendors, processing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely availability of materials required for business operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities.
- Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
- Follow up with vendors regarding order status and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely supply of materials and products.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, invoices, and documentation.
- Support vendor negotiations and maintain robust supplier relationships.
- Monitor purchase prices, availability, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
- Update procurement information in ERP/SAP systems.
- Prepare purchase-related reports and maintain necessary documentation.
- Ensure procurement activities follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements




- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce , or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in purchase or procurement, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Good knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience in preparing Purchase Orders and coordinating deliveries.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office .
- Working knowledge of ERP/SAP systems .
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively within deadlines.

Preferred
- Previous experience in the FMCG/food industry will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with strong supplier coordination and procurement experience are preferred.
