- Key Responsibilities

- Review customer drawings, specifications and technical requirements.

- Conduct manufacturing feasibility and identify process requirements.

- Develop new brass turned components / precision machined components.

- Prepare process flow, operation sequence and manufacturing requirements.

- Coordinate for tooling, fixtures, gauges and machine requirements.

- Coordinate prototype, sample and trial production activities.

- Work with Production and Quality teams to resolve development issues.

- Prepare and maintain BOM, drawings, process sheets and development documentation.

- Support PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, inspection standards and customer documentation.

- Conduct dimensional and functional analysis of samples.

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, cycle-time reduction and process improvement.

- Coordinate with suppliers for tooling, raw material and special processes.

- Track NPD projects from enquiry to customer approval.

- Ensure timely submission of samples and closure of customer feedback.

- Support smooth handover of approved products from NPD to Production.

- Maintain NPD status, timelines and development reports.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T;.





- Knowledge of CNC / VMC / automatic turning / precision machining processes.

- Understanding of brass materials and machining processes will be an advantage.

- Knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan and Process Flow.

- Good understanding of tolerance, inspection and measurement techniques.

- Knowledge of tooling, fixtures and gauges.

- Valuable problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

- MS Excel and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in brass components, precision machining, CNC components, automotive components, electrical components, valve components, plumbing components or similar engineering industries will be preferred. Key Performance Indicators
