Role Description The L1 Network Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Thiruvananthapuram and other locations. The role involves monitoring network performance, responding to alerts, and providing first-level support for connectivity issues across the FTTH and broadband infrastructure.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting basic network faults, escalating complex issues to higher-level engineers, and assisting in routine maintenance and updates.



The L1 Network Engineer will work closely with field teams and support staff to ensure consistent network uptime, document incidents and resolutions, and follow standard operating procedures to maintain service quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Foundational skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering for managing day-to-day network operations.
- Strong Troubleshooting skills to identify, analyze, and resolve first-level network issues efficiently.
- Basic understanding of Network Security principles to support secure configurations and incident response.
- Exposure to Network Design concepts to assist in implementing changes and upgrades as guided by senior engineers.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with routers, switches, FTTH equipment, and common network monitoring tools.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in coordination with field and support teams.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends or holidays, as per operational requirements.
