Job Summary

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in building production-grade web applications and a working understanding of LLMs, AI agents, and Databricks .

The engineer will build the user-facing layer for agentic AI applications hosted on Databricks , creating intuitive, responsive, secure, and reliable experiences that integrate seamlessly with AI agents and backend services.

This role sits at the intersection of Frontend Engineering, Backend/API Development, AI/LLM Integration, and Databricks , with strong ownership of both application functionality and user experience.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications hosted on Databricks , including Databricks Apps .
- Build intuitive and responsive user interfaces using React, TypeScript , or equivalent modern frameworks.
- Integrate applications with LLM and agent endpoints , including streaming responses, tool invocation, session management, conversation state, and file uploads.
- Develop backend services and APIs using Python/FastAPI/Flask and/or Node.js .
- Implement REST APIs, Server-Sent Events (SSE), WebSockets , and other real-time communication patterns.
- Design user experiences that clearly communicate AI-generated results, sources, citations, confidence indicators, and fallback scenarios.
- Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth2, OIDC, SSO, service principals, and role-based access control .
- Integrate applications with Databricks Model Serving endpoints, SQL Warehouses, Unity Catalog, and Databricks SDK .
- Design clear and maintainable contracts between application and agent layers in collaboration with AI, BI, and Lakehouse engineering teams .
- Handle application latency and failures using streaming, retries, timeouts, partial responses, and graceful degradation.
- Implement application monitoring, usage analytics, logging, and user feedback mechanisms.
- Build automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and CI/CD implementation.
- Ensure applications meet modern standards for performance, accessibility,



security, and responsive design .
- Work independently in a rapid-paced, delivery-focused environment.

Requirements Full Stack Development
- 5+ years of overall Full Stack Engineering experience building and deploying production applications end to end.
- Strong experience with React and TypeScript or an equivalent modern frontend framework.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, component libraries, and state management .
- Experience with modern frontend architecture and reusable component development.
- Strong backend development experience using Python, FastAPI, Flask, and/or Node.js .
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and API integration .
- Experience implementing SSE or WebSockets for real-time/streaming applications.

AI / LLM / Agent Integration
- Working understanding of LLMs, AI agents, agent workflows, and common AI failure modes .
- Experience integrating LLM or agent APIs into production applications .
- Understanding of streaming AI responses, tool calling, conversation/session state, context handling, and error/fallback scenarios.
- Ability to design user interfaces that make AI interactions understandable and usable.

Databricks
- Hands-on exposure to Databricks and its application ecosystem.
- Experience with Databricks Apps .
- Knowledge of Databricks SQL Warehouses .
- Experience working with Model Serving endpoints .
- Understanding of Unity Catalog permissions and access controls .
- Experience using the Databricks SDK .

Security Authentication
- Strong understanding of OAuth2 / OIDC .
- Experience with SSO, service principals, authentication tokens, and secure token management .
- Understanding of RBAC and authorization patterns .




- Ability to develop secure APIs and frontend integrations.

Engineering DevOps
- Strong experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines .
- Experience with automated testing and test-driven development practices.
- Familiarity with Docker/containerisation .
- Understanding of application observability, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Good to Have
- Experience working with design systems and Figma .
- Experience with data visualization using Plotly, D3.js, or Databricks AI/BI dashboards .
- Experience with rapid prototyping using Streamlit or Dash .
- Knowledge of frontend observability and performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud-native application development.
- Familiarity with AI evaluation, user feedback loops, and application telemetry.
- Experience working closely with Data Engineering, AI/ML, BI, or Lakehouse teams .

Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering , or a related discipline.
- Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
