Alongside building a modern e-commerce experience, we are developing data-driven features such as product personalisation, routine building and conversational product discovery.We are a small, early-stage team, so every team member has meaningful ownership and the opportunity to influence how the platform develops.

Role Description

We are looking for a curious and ambitious Full Stack Developer to help us build and improve the e-commerce platform.

This is a broad, hands-on role covering both front-end and back-end development. You will work across the customer experience, product catalogue, integrations, personalisation features and internal tools. You will be encouraged to use AI development tools to work efficiently, while remaining responsible for understanding, testing and optimising the code you produce.

The role is well suited to someone early in their career who has already built or contributed to production applications and now wants greater ownership, exposure and opportunities to learn quickly.

What you will work on

- Build and maintain responsive customer-facing experiences across product discovery, product pages, checkout and account journeys.
- Develop back-end services, APIs and database functionality supporting the e-commerce platform.
- Improve site speed, responsiveness, accessibility, technical SEO and overall reliability.
- Integrate third-party services for payments, authentication, fulfilment, analytics and marketing.
- Develop data-driven features such as personalised product recommendations,



skincare routine builders and conversational shopping tools.
- Build and maintain structured data-ingestion workflows for product catalogues, prices, promotions, availability and shipping information.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
- Diagnose bugs and production issues and implement reliable fixes.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation and technical decision-making.
- Improve deployment, monitoring and development workflows as the platform grows.
- Use LLMs and AI coding tools responsibly to accelerate development without compromising code quality, security or maintainability.

Qualifications

- Approximately 1–2 years of experience in full-stack web development, with at least one live or production application
- Strong JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals.
- Experience with a contemporary front-end framework such as React or Next.js.
- Experience building or integrating REST APIs and server-side functionality.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Git, code review and up-to-date deployment workflows.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS and responsive interface development.
- Understanding of testing, secure coding and web-performance fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate unfamiliar technical problems.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently within a remote team.
- Proficiency in Front-End Development, including modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive, user-friendly interfaces.




- Solid Back-End Web Development expertise, including server-side frameworks, RESTful APIs, and database design and optimization.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based environments or hosting providers.
- Understanding of secure coding practices, performance optimization, and scalability for e-commerce platforms.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a remote team, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Previous experience in e-commerce or consumer-facing digital products is beneficial; familiarity with personalization or data-driven systems is a plus.
- Someone who investigates problems independently and communicates clearly in a remote environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

- Experience with e-commerce or another consumer-facing digital product.
- Experience with Supabase, PostgreSQL or Python.
- Familiarity with product feeds, catalogue data or third-party e-commerce integrations.
- Exposure to recommendation systems, personalisation or LLM-powered product features.
- Understanding of technical SEO, analytics or Core Web Vitals.
- An interest the future of online retail.
