About the RoleWe are looking for a Front-End Implementation Developer to take our pre-coded HTML and CSS and turn it into live, polished pages on real client websites.

This is a deliberately focused role, and it is worth being clear about what it is and is not. The front-end code is already written; you will be handed design-ready HTML and CSS rather than starting from a blank file. We also already have a dedicated back-end developer.

What we do not have is the person in the middle: someone who can take that code, debug it, clean it up, integrate it into a website that already exists, wire up the forms, make it behave on every screen, optimise it so it loads fast and reads well to search engines, and hand a client something that feels finished.

That middle is the job, and it is the part that decides whether a website looks professional or looks assembled. If you take pride in pixel-level craft, if you are the kind of developer who notices that a section has 34px of padding on one side and 40px on the other, and if you can hold a clear conversation with a client in Texas about why their page needs to load faster — you will do well here.

What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days• By day 30 — you have shipped your first two or three page integrations onto live client sites with zero regressions, and you know our stack, our hosting setups and our deployment process.

- By day 60 — you are taking a section from supplied code all the way to live on a client site independently, including the clean-up, responsive QA and form wiring, without needing a review on every step.
- By day 90 — you are the person we hand a messy inherited client site to. You are catching aesthetic and performance issues before we do, and you are speaking to clients directly on smaller items.

Key ResponsibilitiesIntegration & Code Clean-Up• Take pre-coded, design-ready HTML and CSS and turn it into production pages on live client websites, without breaking anything that already works.

- Integrate new sections, landing pages and templates into pre-existing sites, across WordPress, static HTML and third-party CMS builds. This is the core of the role.
- Debug, clean and optimise the supplied code. Strip redundancy and dead rules, correct structural and semantic issues, tighten class naming, and make sure what ships is lean, valid and maintainable by the next person who opens it.
- Resolve CSS specificity conflicts and class-name collisions inside stylesheets you did not write, without resorting to blanket overrides.

Design Implementation• Implement desktop, tablet and mobile layouts accurately from Figma files and reference designs.

- Refine the aesthetics. Correct spacing, type scale, hierarchy,



alignment and visual rhythm so the finished page looks considered rather than assembled.
- Keep typography, colour, imagery and interaction consistent with each client's established design system.
- Flag implementation problems early, before they reach the client.

WordPress & CMS• Convert static HTML and CSS builds into WordPress themes and templates, working in child themes rather than parent theme files.

- Build reusable page components, Gutenberg blocks and ACF field groups so clients can edit their own content without touching markup.
- Configure and customise plugins, and troubleshoot plugin and theme conflicts.

Website Maintenance• Perform WordPress core, plugin and theme updates across our client sites, and resolve the compatibility issues they cause.

- Deliver the quarterly and annual site updates we contract with clients — content changes, refreshes and enhancements.
- Implement redirects and on-page SEO changes, and monitor broken links and site errors.
- Support site migrations, backups and restores.

Forms & Integrations• Build and wire up forms end to end: validation, error and success states, spam protection, and connection to endpoints, email services and CRMs, in coordination with our back-end developer.

- Work with REST APIs and third-party services, and troubleshoot integration failures.
- Support analytics and tracking implementations, and verify they fire correctly.

Performance & Search• Keep pages fast and search-safe: image optimisation, Core Web Vitals, semantic heading structure and alt text. Every page you ship should be measurably well optimised, not just visually correct.

- Identify and remove unnecessary plugins and scripts that are slowing sites down.
- Never break the structured data on our SEO landing pages.

Quality Assurance & Deployment• Own responsive behaviour and cross-browser QA across desktop, tablet and mobile — including iOS Safari, where most problems actually surface. Test on real devices, not only in browser emulation.

- Run regression checks after every change, and verify forms, links, integrations and tracking before anything goes live.
- Deploy through staging to live using Git, SFTP and cPanel, and communicate progress and blockers directly with overseas clients in clear written English.

What We Are Looking ForRequired• 3+ years of hands-on front-end experience, preferably at a digital or web agency.

- Strong HTML5 and modern CSS — Flexbox, Grid, custom properties. You must be comfortable reading, debugging and refactoring code you did not write, not only authoring fresh markup. This is the single most important requirement in this list.
- Solid vanilla JavaScript and jQuery: sliders, tabs, accordions, modals, sticky headers, scroll effects, and debugging script conflicts on an existing site.
- Proven experience integrating new work into live,



pre-existing websites without regressions — including dealing with CSS specificity conflicts and class-name collisions.
- Form building and integration, including third-party services such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, Formspark or Web3Forms.
- Enough PHP and MySQL to read a snippet, trace a WordPress function and debug a plugin conflict. Writing custom plugins from scratch is not part of this job, but being unable to read PHP at all is a blocker.
- A Git-based workflow, plus SFTP and cPanel deployment and basic DNS literacy.
- Comfortable in Chrome DevTools — you debug by inspecting, not by guessing.
- Figma proficiency — reading a design file, pulling assets and exporting at correct sizes.
- A genuine eye for design. You notice when spacing is inconsistent or a type scale is off, without being told.
- Excellent written and spoken English. You will be on calls and email threads with clients in the US, UK, UAE and Australia, and we need to be able to put you in front of them.
- Availability for a full-time remote role, with some overlap into client hours when a launch needs it.

Preferred• WordPress theme development — converting static HTML and CSS into custom or child themes, ACF, Gutenberg blocks, Elementor or Bricks, and WooCommerce basics. This one is worth a lot to us.

- Managed WordPress hosting and performance tooling: WP Engine, Cloudflare, WP Rocket or LiteSpeed, and Query Monitor for debugging.
- Working knowledge of Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP), Google Analytics 4, Search Console and on-page SEO fundamentals.
- Tailwind CSS, GSAP or scroll-based animation.
- A refactoring instinct — you enjoy taking code that works but is untidy and making it lean, readable and maintainable, rather than rewriting it from scratch.
- Experience running many client sites at once, in an agency or multisite setup.

Not RequiredReact, Vue, Angular, Node or full-stack experience. We have a dedicated back-end developer, and this role does not touch application frameworks. Please do not rule yourself out if your CV is framework-light — we care about craft in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and about what your live sites actually look like.
