Job Title: Electrode Extruder Machine Operator

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Reports To: Production Supervisor / Shift In-Charge

Job Summary

Responsible for operating and monitoring electrode extrusion machines used in the manufacturing of welding electrodes. The operator ensures proper machine settings, consistent electrode coating/extrusion quality, production output, and safe operation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate electrode extruder machines as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Set and adjust machine parameters such as pressure, speed, temperature, and coating thickness.
- Prepare and load electrode materials/raw materials into the machine.
- Monitor extrusion/coating quality and maintain uniform coating thickness and appearance.
- Check electrode diameter, length, straightness, coating condition, and other quality parameters.
- Identify and correct machine abnormalities, blockages, coating defects, and dimensional variations.
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic machine maintenance.
- Maintain production records, machine settings, material consumption, and rejection reports.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve process issues.




- Follow 5S, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
- Minimize material wastage, downtime, and production rejection.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of electrodes and raw materials.
- Report machine breakdowns, quality issues, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI Fitter trade preferred.
- 0–3 years of experience operating extrusion/coating machinery, preferably in welding electrode manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical machines and production processes.
- Ability to read basic machine parameters and production instructions.
- Good observation and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in shifts.
- Physically fit and safety-conscious.

- Production output and achievement of daily targets.
- Electrode coating quality and dimensional consistency.
- Rejection and wastage percentage.
- Machine utilization and downtime.
- Compliance with safety and 5S standards.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
