Role Description The Engineer Trainee will support the steel detailing team in preparing fabrication drawings, connection details, and 3D models for commercial and industrial structures. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with design interpretation, learning and applying relevant detailing standards, performing basic calculations, and updating project documentation under supervision.



The role involves close collaboration with senior engineers and detailers, participating in internal reviews, and helping ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.

This is a full-time, in office role based in Coimbatore, with structured training and mentoring to develop technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge of structural engineering concepts and steel structures, with an interest in steel detailing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and technical documents.
- Basic proficiency in CAD or 3D modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar), or willingness to learn.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills applicable to engineering tasks.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working in a project-based team environment.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and commitment to meeting timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Willingness to learn international standards (AISC, CISC) and adapt to company processes and technologies.
