Role Description The Classification Agent role is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi. The role involves accurately classifying shipments and commodities according to relevant customs, tariff, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with local and international guidelines.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing shipment documentation, validating product descriptions, applying correct classification codes, and coordinating with operations, customer service, and customs teams to resolve discrepancies.

Agent will also maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes, support internal audits, and contribute to process improvements to enhance data accuracy and operational efficiency. The role requires careful attention to detail, timely decision-making, and effective collaboration within a fast-paced express logistics environment.

Qualifications

- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret regulations and classification guidelines accurately.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in reviewing documentation and applying shipment codes.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and interacting with customers and regulatory authorities as needed.
- Familiarity with customs procedures, trade compliance, or international logistics is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and shipment management systems; ability to learn new digital platforms quickly.
- Ability to work on-site in New Delhi in a fast-paced workplace, manage workload efficiently, and meet strict timelines.
- Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or classification-related roles is an advantage.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, commerce, business, or a related field preferred.
