Job Title: CAE Engineer
Career Level: E7
Strategic Business Unit (SBU): PTE
Position Summary
As a CAE Engineer (Level E7), you will carry out virtual engineering, numerical modeling, and analytical tasks across key powertrain and vehicle systems. Operating within specialized engineering software environments, you will execute multi-domain simulations, validate analytical models against physical test data, drive method development, and collaborate across an international network of engineering affiliates.
Key Responsibilities
- Simulation & Execution: Set up and run complex simulations across designated engineering domains (e.g., NVH, FEA, HVAC & Thermal Systems, Electric Drive, MBD, and CFD).
- Test-Simulation Correlation: Process experimental test data and correlate results with simulation models to validate parameters and ensure solution reliability.
- Method Development: Continuous refinement of simulation workflows, tool efficiency, and internal engineering processes.
- Project Support: Support multidisciplinary R&D; initiatives while managing technical deliverables across multiple simultaneous projects.
- Technical Documentation:
Compile detailed analytical reports and technical presentations for internal development teams and external stakeholders.
- Global Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams across international affiliate networks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree (M.Tech, MSc, MEng) or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated professional experience in CAE and computer simulation. Experience within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with industry-standard CAE simulation packages.
- Solid understanding of product design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python) for post-processing or automation is beneficial.
- Competencies: Robust analytical problem-solving skills, high attention to quality, self-organization, and the ability to work effectively in team settings.
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
