Battery Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Li-ion battery packs and battery systems for EV and energy-storage applications.
- Select suitable cells, BMS, connectors, busbars and other battery components.
- Develop battery pack architecture considering performance, safety, cost and manufacturability .
- Work on thermal management, electrical design and mechanical integration of battery packs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant AIS-156 and applicable safety standards .
- Conduct battery testing, validation and performance analysis.
- Coordinate with R&D;, Production, Quality and Procurement teams for product development.
- Troubleshoot battery pack issues and implement design improvements.
- Prepare technical documentation, drawings,



BOMs and design specifications.
- Support prototype development, testing and product validation.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, performance improvement and product innovation .
- Support patent/innovation initiatives wherever applicable.

Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of Lithium-ion battery technology and battery pack design .
- Understanding of BMS, cell selection, electrical connections and thermal management .
- Experience with battery testing and validation.
- Knowledge of AIS-156 / EV battery safety requirements .
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in EV/battery manufacturing or automotive industry preferred.
