Role Description The Application Engineer role at COTMAC is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division.
The Application
Engineer will design, configure, and implement automation solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into technical specifications.
Responsibilities include providing technical support during project execution, assisting in the development and integration of software and hardware components, and performing testing and validation of systems to ensure reliable operation. The role involves preparing technical documentation,
attending customer meetings, and supporting commissioning activities at customer sites.
The Application
Engineer will also collaborate with senior engineers to optimize system performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess robust Technical Support skills, including troubleshooting, customer interaction, and issue resolution in industrial automation environments.
- Candidates should possess Electronics Engineering skills, including understanding of control circuits, wiring practices, and industrial electrical standards.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, such as familiarity with mechanical systems, machine components, and integration of electro-mechanical equipment.
- Candidates should possess Testing skills for system validation, functional testing, and quality assurance of automation solutions.
- Relevant qualifications include a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical) or a related technical field.
- Beneficial skills include knowledge of industrial automation platforms, familiarity with vision systems, understanding of safety standards, and ability to read technical drawings.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, willingness to work on-site at customer locations, and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams are highly valued.
