Senior/Principal Consultant SAP FICO:

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior/Principal Consultant SAP FICO with strong hands-on experience in SAP Finance and Controlling, preferably across ECC and S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate will have strong configuration and implementation experience, excellent understanding of financial accounting and controlling processes, and the ability to work closely with business and cross-functional teams.The role requires a consultant who can independently handle complex requirements, provide solution recommendations, support end-to-end implementations, and contribute to production support and continuous process improvements.Key Responsibilities

- Deliver SAP FICO implementation, rollout, enhancement, and production support activities.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP FICO solutions.
- Perform hands-on configuration across FI modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting (BC).
- Handle CO configuration, including Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Internal Orders (IO).
- Participate in and drive end-to-end SAP implementation lifecycle activities including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
- Work on ECC and/or S/4HANA Finance environments and support finance transformation initiatives.
- Ensure seamless integration of FICO with MM, SD, PP, and other SAP/non-SAP applications.
- Configure and troubleshoot FI-MM integration, including procurement,



GR/IR, invoice verification, and automatic account determination.
- Configure and troubleshoot FI-SD integration, including billing, revenue recognition/account determination, customer accounting, and related postings.
- Support integration of FI/CO with Production/PP processes, including production order accounting, consumption, variance, and settlement.
- Work on tax configuration and statutory requirements, including GST, withholding tax/TDS, and other applicable local taxation requirements for India.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliation, foreign currency valuation, accruals, depreciation, allocations, settlements, and financial reporting.
- Analyze and resolve complex production issues, accounting discrepancies, integration errors, and configuration-related problems.
- Prepare functional specifications and work closely with ABAP/development teams for required enhancements and reports.
- Support data migration, reconciliation, validation, and cutover activities during implementations and rollouts.
- Develop and maintain functional documentation, configuration documents, test scripts, and user documentation.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and support UAT with business stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and functional support to junior consultants and contribute to knowledge-sharing activities.
- Act as a functional SME and collaborate effectively with Finance, Business, IT, and cross-functional SAP teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization within SAP Finance and Controlling.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- B.Com, MBA (Finance),



CA/CA Inter, or equivalent finance qualification.
- 4+ years of relevant SAP FICO experience with strong hands-on configuration expertise.
- Experience working in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA Finance environments.

- Strong experience in:

- General Ledger (GL)

- Accounts Payable (AP)

- Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Asset Accounting (AA)

- Bank Accounting (BC)

- Cost Center Accounting (CCA)

- Profit Center Accounting (PCA)

- Internal Orders (IO)
- Experience in at least 12 full lifecycle SAP FICO implementations, including configuration, testing, UAT, cutover, and go-live.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and controlling concepts.
- Hands-on experience with FI integration with MM, SD, PP, and Taxation.
- Good understanding of GST, withholding tax/TDS, and local taxation requirements for India-based roles.
- Experience in month-end/year-end closing and financial reporting processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to independently analyze complex business requirements and propose appropriate SAP solutions.
- Solid communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred / Good to Have:

- Experience in S/4HANA Finance transformation or migration projects.
- Exposure to Fiori applications and S/4HANA finance processes.
- Experience with SAP integration, interfaces, and third-party applications.
- Experience in multi-country/global SAP implementations or support.
- Exposure to SAP FICO-related reporting and analytics.
- Experience mentoring junior consultants or leading functional workstreams.
