Role Description The Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, and mentoring within the department. Daily responsibilities include designing and delivering advanced CSE courses, supervising student projects and theses, and guiding junior faculty and researchers. The role involves leading high-impact research initiatives, publishing in top-tier venues, and contributing to curriculum development and departmental strategy.

The Distinguished

Professor will also engage in skilled service, such as committee work, outreach, and collaborations with industry and research institutions. This is a full-time,



on-site position based at the BITS Pilani campus in Bhubaneswar.

Qualifications

- Extensive expertise in core CSE domains such as algorithms, systems, artificial intelligence, data science, or related areas, demonstrated through high-quality research output.
- Proven record of scholarly publications in reputed journals and conferences, along with successful supervision of postgraduate and doctoral research.
- Strong teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including course design, curriculum development, and innovative pedagogical practices.
- Experience in academic leadership, mentoring faculty and students, and contributing to departmental and institutional governance.
- Ability to initiate and lead funded research projects, collaborations with industry and other academic institutions, and interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse, collaborative academic environments.
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, or a closely related discipline, with a distinguished academic and professional track record.
- Prior recognition through awards, fellowships, or memberships in professional societies is highly desirable.
