: Deputy General Manager-Trims, ICE CDMM

Location: Chakan, Pune

Business Function: ICE CDMM

Position Overview: You will be responsible for leading the development, quality, and commercial aspects of trims systems, including interior, exterior, and soft trims across multiple automotive platforms. This role demands deep expertise in trims systems, strong leadership capabilities, and proficiency in managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Seating System Development: Lead the Seating system design, development, and integration of trims systems across all automotive platforms. For Multiple platforms together.

2.

Team Management: Oversee STA and DE teams to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outputs.

3.

Lifecycle Oversight: Manage the trims development lifecycle, including engineering inputs, data finalization, RFQ, TSO, PQP, tooling, trials, and DVP processes.

4.

Quality Compliance: Ensure trims meet NVH, craftsmanship, and build quality standards.

5.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Seating, and safety systems to ensure seamless integration and project success.

This role is integral to ensuring the success of trims systems development while maintaining high standards for quality, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Competencies & Skills:

Seating System Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of Seating systems including materials, refined design approaches, Craftsmanship, and integration across vehicle platforms. Should be well versed with Seating Frame, Fabric & Leather Trims, Plastic parts , Seating Mechanism development.

2.

Engineering & Development: Proficient in Seating system engineering, design, and end-to-end development processes.

3.

Commercial & Quality Management: Solid capabilities in cost optimization, supplier negotiations, and ensuring high-quality standards.

4.

Manufacturing Knowledge: Well-versed in NVH standards, build quality challenges, and manufacturing ramp-up processes.

5.

Leadership & Influence: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and effectively drive project outcomes.

Education, Skills & Experience

1.

Education: Mechanical/Automobile Engineering (Tier 1 preferred); postgraduate degree optional.

2.

Experience: 15–25 years in automotive trims, with proven ability to manage large teams and complex projects.

3.

Skills: Expertise in trims design, engineering, leadership, commercial management, and quality assurance. Familiarity with NVH and manufacturing ramp-up.
