Job Description
Experience Level: 10+ Years
n
Role Type: Architect / Technical Lead
n
Location: Pune / Bangalore / Hyderabad
n
Position Summary
n
This role is dedicated to the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) middleware layer. The architect designs the backbone that allows the infotainment system to interact securely with the rest of the vehicle's zonal
n
controllers via standardized communication stacks.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Design and maintain the Adaptive AUTOSAR communication stack (ara::com) and middleware layer.
n
- Architect Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) frameworks, including service modeling, interfaces,
n
n
and registry mechanics.
n
•Implement inter-domain communication paths linking Classic AUTOSAR (CP) body/powertrain
n
modules to Adaptive AUTOSAR (AP) high-performance computes.
n
•Ensure data stream reliability, deterministic communication, and network security compliance across
n
the vehicle network.
n
•Define middleware performance and reliability targets, and validate them against automotive
n
network constraints.
n
•Guide toolchain selection and configuration for Adaptive AUTOSAR development (Vector DaVinci
n
Adaptive, Elektrobit, or ETAS).
n
•Review designs and code, mentor engineers, and enforce middleware architecture standards.
n
Required Technical Skills
n
n
- Deep proficiency in Adaptive AUTOSAR SIPs (Vector DaVinci Adaptive, Elektrobit, or ETAS toolchains).
n
- Contemporary C++ (C++14/17/20), Object-Oriented Analysis, and POSIX-compliant multi-threading.
n
- Strong protocol expertise: SOME/IP, SOME/IP-SD, DDS, MQTT, gRPC, and TSN (Time-Sensitive
n
n
Networking) over Automotive Ethernet.
n
•Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR clusters: ara::com, ara::diag, ara::crypto, and Update and
n
Configuration Management (UCM).
n
Preferred Skills
n
•Experience bridging Classic AUTOSAR (CP) and Adaptive AUTOSAR (AP) domains in production
n
programs.
n
•Exposure to automotive cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434) as applied to communication
n
middleware.
n
n
- Familiarity with service discovery, load balancing, or QoS mechanisms in vehicle networks.
n
- Experience with network security compliance and secure communication design.
n
n
Education
n
•B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
n
Project Experience
n
•Demonstrated ownership of Adaptive AUTOSAR middleware architecture on at least one production
n
or pre-production vehicle program.
n
•Experience integrating Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR domains across body/powertrain and HPC
n
compute.
n
Soft Skills
n
n
- Strong systems and network architecture judgment.
n
- Technical leadership and mentoring ability.
n
- Clear cross-team and customer communication on middleware architecture decisions.
n
n
Good to Have
n
n
- Experience with TSN-based deterministic networking implementations.
n
- Familiarity with zonal or domain-controller vehicle architectures.
n
- Exposure to functional safety (ISO 26262) requirements applied to communication middleware.
n
n
Expected Deliverables
n
n
- Adaptive AUTOSAR communication stack architecture and middleware specification.
n
- SOA service models, interfaces, and registry design.
n
- Cross-domain communication and network security compliance documentation.
n
