We are looking for a commercially driven E-commerce Manager to lead our B2C online sales strategy in the UK. You will own the growth, performance, and P&L; across our Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) website and third-party UK e-retailers and e-grocers. The ideal candidate understands the fast-paced, high-volume nature of the UK FMCG market, has established experience navigating major UK grocery portals, and knows how to optimize digital shelf visibility to drive repeat purchases.
Key Responsibilities UK Retailer Management & Strategy
- Own the digital P&L; across the D2C website, Amazon UK, and major UK e-grocers (Ocado, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda).
- Manage commercial relationships with online supermarket buyers and account managers to secure optimal promotional slots and digital banner placements.
- Integrate Quick Commerce channels (Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Gopuff) into the broader commercial strategy to capture instant-need consumer demand.
Digital Shelf Optimization & Trade Marketing
- Optimize the online 'Digital Shelf' across all platforms, ensuring immaculate product listings, optimized search terms, compliant nutritional data, and high-converting imagery.
- Execute trade marketing plans tailored to the UK promotional calendar (e.g., HFSS compliance regulations, seasonal events, bank holidays).
- Design subscription models and exclusive D2C product bundles to drive up Average Order Value (AOV) and build brand loyalty.
Performance Marketing & Activation
- Oversee retail media spend across platforms, managing budgets for Amazon Ads, CitrusAd, or Nectar360 to maximize Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
- Collaborate with the growth marketing team on D2C traffic acquisition via paid social, Google Shopping, SEO, and email marketing (Klaviyo).
- Analyze customer journeys to continuously improve the D2C conversion rate (CVR) and minimize cart abandonment.
Supply Chain, Operations & Compliance
- Coordinate closely with Supply Chain teams to ensure stock availability meets online demand, preventing costly out-of-stock compliance fines from major UK supermarkets.
- Ensure full compliance with UK digital trading laws, GDPR data regulations, and evolving HFSS (High Fat, Sugar, and Salt) advertising restrictions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or equivalent commercial experience.
- Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated e-commerce experience, with a proven track record within the UK FMCG or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.
- Retailer Platform Fluency: Direct experience handling Amazon Vendor/Seller Central and UK e-grocer portals (e.g., Tesco Supplier Network, Ocado/CitrusAd platforms).
- D2C Stack Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and UK-relevant delivery/fulfillment integrations.
- Regulatory Awareness: Solid working knowledge of UK HFSS regulations and their impact on online product placement and digital advertising.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to turn data from Nielsen, IRI, or GA4 into actionable commercial strategies.
