About the role

Expert Resourcing is hiring a Tool Room Trainee to support the precision maintenance, repair and modification of high-cavitation injection moulds in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

What you will do

- Perform scheduled mould servicing and high-precision polishing to help prevent surface defects and flash.

- Troubleshoot hot runner system failures and explicit critical cooling-line blockages.

- Check the dimensional integrity of mould inserts and cores using precision measuring instruments.

- Assist with tool modifications required for engineering changes and process improvements.

- Help reduce mould breakdowns and extend tool life through disciplined preventive maintenance.

You may be a good fit if you

- Hold any diploma; an engineering degree is preferred.

- Have 1 year of relevant experience.

- Are proficient with precision measuring instruments.

- Understand tool steels, coatings and heat-treatment processes.

- Have exposure to precision lathes, milling machines, EDM and surface grinders.
