Workplace and Product Context
As part of Schneider Electric's Energy Management - Channel Partner Software, Design League R&D; team in India, the Product Owner will lead product ownership for EcoSet Design. The solution helps users design electrical networks for new commercial and industrial buildings, perform certified sizing and calculation, select Schneider Electric equipment, estimate price and panel space, and generate comprehensive specifications and reports.
The role works at the intersection of customer needs, electrical-domain expertise and software engineering. The Product Owner collaborates closely with Product Management, UI/UX, Electrical SMEs, Architects, Developers, QA and globally distributed stakeholders to translate business and electrical workflows into high-quality, easy-to-use software capabilities.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Scrum team as Product Owner and provide clear product direction throughout Program Increments and sprints.
• Partner with the Product Manager to understand product strategy, customer segments,



market priorities and measurable outcomes for EcoSet Design.
• Own, prioritize and continuously refine the product backlog, balancing customer value, electrical-domain needs, quality, technical debt and delivery capacity.
• Translate customer journeys and electrical-design workflows into features, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications and testable business rules.
• Define requirements for network calculation, electrical-network complexity, standards compliance, equipment selection, selectivity, price estimation, panel-space estimation, specifications and reports.
• Work closely with Electrical SMEs to ensure accurate interpretation of LV and relevant MV concepts, device characteristics, sizing rules, coordination logic and standards.
• Ensure that requirements support the needs of small and medium design firms, local and regional contractors, and electricians working on larger projects.
