The organization offers a full range of inspection and training solutions, delivered by technicians and instructors certified to SNT-TC-1A requirements by the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT). IQS conducts services either at client sites or in its dedicated training facilities, depending on operational needs.

With extensive hands-on experience, the team performs and witnesses inspections such as ultrasonic flaw detection, thickness gauging, magnetic particle inspection, penetrant testing, dimensional and hardness testing, as well as visual and specialized inspections for static and rotary equipment, castings, forgings, welds, and automotive and marine components. IQS focuses on reliable, standards-driven inspection outcomes that help clients maintain safety, compliance, and quality in critical operations.

Role Description The Ultrasonic Testing Inspector is a full-time, in office role based in Panihati, responsible for performing ultrasonic examinations and related NDE activities on a variety of components and equipment. The inspector conducts ultrasonic flaw detection and thickness gauging in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications, documenting results with clear, accurate reports. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing inspection setups, calibrating equipment,



interpreting ultrasonic signals, and identifying discontinuities or defects that may affect service performance.

The role also involves collaborating with quality and engineering teams, following safety protocols, and maintaining inspection records and traceability. The inspector may support other NDE methods as needed, assist in client communication during inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement of inspection practices.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Mechanical Inspection and general Inspection practices relevant to ultrasonic and other NDE methods.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and client requirements.
- Candidates should possess a foundation in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline to understand component design, materials, and failure mechanisms.
- Relevant certifications in Ultrasonic Testing (e.g., ASNT Level II in UT) or equivalent NDE qualifications are highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical standards, and inspection procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and accurate report writing skills.
- Willingness to work on-site in industrial environments, adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in NDE or industrial inspection in sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, marine, or power plants is an advantage.
