Position Summary

Milvian Group is seeking a Technical Writer to create and maintain transparent, accurate documentation for our IoT, smart-building, hardware, software, and facility technology solutions. The role will work closely with Engineering, Product, Installation, Project Management, and Customer Success teams to document complex technical solutions in an easy-to-understand format.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and maintain technical, product, installation, configuration, and user documentation.
- Document IoT devices, sensors, gateways, connectivity, system configurations, and deployment processes.
- Develop SOPs, installation guides, troubleshooting guides, runbooks, FAQs, and knowledge-base articles.
- Work with engineers and SMEs to gather, validate, and simplify technical information.
- Document IoT workflows, data flows, integrations, APIs, and system processes.
- Support documentation for site surveys, installation, commissioning, and customer handoff.
- Review and update documentation as products, systems, and deployment processes evolve.
- Maintain documentation standards, version control,



and content organization.

Required Skills

- 3+ years of Technical Writing / Technical Documentation experience.
- Experience documenting technology products, software, hardware, IoT, or infrastructure.
- Strong technical writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.
- Experience working with Engineering, Product, IT, or field/installation teams.
- Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Office, Markdown, or similar documentation tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation projects.

Preferred

- Experience with IoT, smart buildings, BMS/BEMS, HVAC, sensors, gateways, energy/water metering, or sustainability technologies.
- Experience creating installation diagrams, process flows, or technical visuals.
- Experience with Git/GitHub and docs-as-code workflows.
