Role Description This full-time on-site Technical Author role is based in the Pune Division.

The Technical

Author will create, update, and maintain clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation, including manuals, guides, and procedures for Aggreko’s energy and temperature solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching product information, collaborating with engineering, operations, and service teams, and translating complex technical concepts into accessible documentation. The role involves managing document versions, ensuring consistency with corporate standards, and aligning content with regulatory and safety requirements.

Author will also support continuous improvement of documentation processes and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the organization.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Documentation and Documentation for complex products and systems.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Writing and Manuals creation for user and service audiences.
- Candidates should possess robust skills in Technical Communication, including clear, concise, and structured written communication.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, operations, and product teams to gather and validate technical information.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards and convert them into accessible content.
- Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., MS Office, PDF editors, content management systems) and basic layout/formatting best practices.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and version control, with the ability to manage multiple documentation projects and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical writing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in industrial, energy, or mechanical systems documentation is beneficial.
- Comfort working on-site in a technical environment and engaging directly with equipment and subject matter experts.
