Role Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Technical Analyst to work in a truly global environment, designing, developing, deploying and supporting technical solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations across our global operations, reporting to the Project Delivery Manager. The role will work closely with the D365 implementation team to deliver customizations, extensions and integrations across Supply Chain Management and Finance modules, supporting both full-lifecycle implementations and post-implementation activities. The role provides long-term development potential for someone eager to demonstrate their skills and experience in the fast-paced soft commodities environment.

This role will be based in Volcafe office in Bangalore, India

Key Accountabilities:

▪ Design, develop, test and deploy customisations and extensions in D365 F&O; using X++, strictly following Microsoft's extension model (Chain of Command, event handlers, extension classes)

▪ Translate Functional Design Documents into Technical Design Documents and estimate development effort

▪ Build and maintain integrations between D365 and third-party systems using data entities, OData, custom services, Azure Logic Apps / Functions / Service Bus and dual write to Dataverse

▪ Develop and maintain SSRS reports, Electronic Reporting (ER) configurations, and supporting data models for Power BI





▪ Build and validate data migration packages using the Data Management Framework, including templates, transformation logic and reconciliation

▪ Manage source control, branching and CI/CD build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps; package and deploy through LCS across environments

▪ Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues raised through the ticketing system, performing root-cause analysis and delivering fixes within agreed SLA

▪ Investigate and remediate performance issues — SQL query tuning, index analysis, trace parser review and batch job optimisation

▪ Participate in code reviews, unit and regression testing (including RSAT), and maintain development standards across onshore and offshore teams

▪ Develop knowledge of Commodities Business Processes (especially Coffee)

▪ Document designs, code changes, resolutions and known issues, and share best practice with cross-functional team members

▪ Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned

▪ Participate in special projects and system testing as required

▪ Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

▪ 5+ years of Dynamics 365 / AX development experience, covering at least 2 full-lifecycle implementations plus post-implementation support

▪ Previous experience in a Software Support / Application Support environment is preferred

▪ Strong hands-on X++ development experience in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including appropriate certification (MB-500 or equivalent)

▪ Proven experience developing against Trade & Logistics and Production modules; positive working knowledge of all other functional areas of Dynamics 365

▪ Proficiency with the extension framework, data entities, DMF, security development, workflow and batch framework

▪ Experience with the wider Microsoft technical landscape — SQL Server / T-SQL, AOS, SharePoint, Azure services and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)

▪ Experience with Azure DevOps for source control, work item tracking and automated build/release pipelines, and with LCS for environment and deployment management





▪ Demonstrable knowledge of Dynamics 365 ERP technical best practices, including ALM, extension-based development, master data management and security implementation adopting segregation of duties

▪ Working knowledge of finance practices for GL, AR and AP, and of the underlying D365 data model

▪ Good understanding of architectural patterns such as web, thin client, thick client and cloud, and of integration patterns (synchronous vs. asynchronous, batch vs. real-time)

▪ University Graduate with a relevant degree within a computational discipline

▪ Experience of physical commodities business

▪ Experience of enterprise scale ERP implementations for commodities business
