Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SR Mold Design Engineer responsible for designing and developing Molds for plastic injection components. The role involves Mold design, feasibility studies, manufacturing support, and coordination with tooling, production, and quality teams to ensure robust and cost-effective Mold solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Design injection Molds, and related tooling using CAD software.

•⁠ ⁠Perform product feasibility analysis and Mold-flow considerations.

•⁠ ⁠Create 3D Mold assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings.

•⁠ ⁠Define parting lines, gating systems, cooling circuits, venting, and ejection mechanisms.

•⁠ ⁠Develop BOMs and standard Mold design documentation.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate with tool room, manufacturing, and suppliers during Mold construction.

•⁠ ⁠Support Mold trials, troubleshooting, engineering changes, and continuous improvement activities.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal design standards.

•⁠ ⁠Optimize Mold designs for productivity, quality, and cost reduction.





Required Qualifications

•⁠ ⁠Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

•⁠ ⁠4+ years of experience in Mold design.

•⁠ ⁠Robust knowledge of injection moulding processes and tooling.

•⁠ ⁠Experience in GD&T;, manufacturing processes, and Mold components.

•⁠ ⁠Familiarity with standard Mold bases and hot runner systems.

Technical Skills

•⁠ ⁠Siemens NX, CATIA

•⁠ ⁠Moldflow analysis knowledge preferred.

•⁠ ⁠Good understanding of DFM, DFA, and tooling standards.

Preferred Skills

•⁠ ⁠Problem-solving and analytical skills.

•⁠ ⁠Project management and coordination abilities.

•⁠ ⁠Strong communication and teamwork skills.

•⁠ ⁠Experience in automotive, consumer products, or medical molding industries.
