We are looking for a SQL Server & SSIS Production Support Engineer to join a team responsible for maintaining and improving critical data and ETL solutions. The role is primarily focused on production support (75%), with 25% dedicated to development and enhancements. You will troubleshoot existing SQL code and SSIS jobs, resolve production incidents, investigate recurring issues, and perform root cause analysis while also contributing to SQL and ETL development activities.

This opportunity is particularly suited to SQL Support Engineers, SSIS Developers, and SQL Developers with hands-on production support experience. This is 5 days work from office role in Bangalore.

Your tasks

- Providing L1, L2, and L3 production support for SQL Server and SSIS environments
- Troubleshooting existing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database-related issues
- Monitoring and resolving SSIS/ETL job failures and data processing incidents
- Investigating production issues and performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
- Developing and enhancing SQL code and SSIS packages based on business requirements
- Collaborating with technical and business teams to resolve incidents and maintain stable data operations

Requirements

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL in a production environment
- Practical exposure to SSIS and ETL processes, including troubleshooting failed or delayed jobs




- Experience providing a mix of L1, L2, and L3 production support for data/database applications
- Ability to analyse existing SQL code, identify performance or functional issues, and implement fixes
- Proven capability in incident investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Development experience with SQL and/or SSIS, with the ability to deliver enhancements alongside support activities
- Good command of spoken and written English (minimum B2 level) and ability to work with international stakeholders

Nice to have

- Exposure to Power BI reporting and dashboards
- Familiarity with production monitoring and ITSM processes
- Experience working in an enterprise-scale application or data environment
