Senior Specialist - System Management Role Title IBM OS2 Administrator IBM OS Support Engineer Job Summary We are seeking an experienced IBM OS2 Administrator with 5 to 8 years of experience in supporting maintaining and troubleshooting IBM OS2based environments and legacy enterprise systems The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in OS2 operating system administration system performance management application support system upgrades and integration with enterprise infrastructure Key Responsibilities Administer maintain and support IBM OS2 operating system environments Monitor system performance availability and resource utilisation Perform system installation configuration upgrades and patch management Troubleshoot operating system application and hardwarerelated issues Manage user accounts access controls and security settings Support legacy businesscritical applications running on OS2 platforms Perform backup recovery and disaster recovery activities Analyse system logs and perform root cause analysis for production issues Collaborate with infrastructure network database and application support teams Document system configurations procedures and operational guidelines Participate in system migration and modernisation initiatives where applicable Provide L2L3 support and participate in oncall support activities Required Skills Robust experience in IBM OS2 Administration and Support Knowledge of OS2 system architecture and configuration Experience in system monitoring troubleshooting and performance tuning Understanding of networking concepts TCPIP and system connectivity Experience supporting legacy applications and environments Knowledge of backup and recovery processes Familiarity with scripting and automation tools Strong problemsolving and analytical skills Experience working in production support environments Preferred Skills Experience with IBM legacy platforms and enterprise systems Knowledge of Windows Linux or Unix administration Exposure to migration projects from legacy systems to modern platforms Understanding of database technologies and application support Familiarity with ITILbased service management processes Primary Skill IBM OS2 Administration Secondary Skills OS2 System Administration Legacy System Support Production Support Backup Recovery Network Administration System Performance Tuning Incident Problem Management Infrastructure Support
