If things slip through your fingers, this role is not for you.
That is the single hardest filter we have, and we are not going to be shy about it. In one day you will move between a candidate you are chasing, a letter that has to go out, a calendar that keeps changing, and a vendor waiting on an answer. Four different jobs before lunch.
Most people can do any one of those well. Very few can do all four in the same day without dropping one. The ones who drop one usually do not notice they dropped it, which is the actual problem.
If you are the person who remembers the thing everyone else forgot, keep reading.
The Role, Honestly
Three jobs in one, and all three are apprenticeships.
Talent acquisition: You find people. Then you learn how we pick them, because how we hire is genuinely different from how most agencies do it, and it is the reason the work here is valuable. You will be taught this directly by the Partner and the Managing Partner. Not from a course, not from a recruitment SOP. From sitting in on the calls and then being handed the next one.
Founder's office: You sit beside the people running this company. The calendar, the follow ups, the things that need chasing, the decisions that need turning into action. You will see how the business is actually run, from the seat where it happens.
HR: The paperwork, the sheets, the attendance, the onboarding. Unglamorous, and the reason everything else works.
Do all three well and you will understand how a company is staffed and run within a year. Most people take five.
What You Will Actually Do
- Scout talent. Hunt across LinkedIn, portfolios, Instagram, campuses,
referrals, and places nobody else is looking. Build pipelines before we need them, not after. A good scout has three names ready the day a role opens.
- Learn our way of hiring. Sit in on screening calls with the Partner and the Managing Partner. Watch what they ask and understand why. Then start running first rounds yourself.
- Run the hiring process end to end. Job posts, applications, shortlists, scheduling, feedback, closing the loop with everyone. Candidates should never be left wondering where they stand.
- Run the Managing Partner's calendar. Guard it, sequence it, protect it. Know what deserves an hour and what deserves fifteen minutes. Confirm, remind, reschedule, and never let a meeting fall through because nobody chased it.
- Own the paperwork. Offer letters, appointment letters, onboarding documents, exit formalities. Accurate, on time, no typos in someone's name or their number.
- Keep the sheets clean. Attendance, leave, candidate trackers, employee records. If a sheet is out of date, that is on you and only you.
- Onboard people properly. First day sorted, laptop sorted, accounts sorted, introductions made. Nobody's first impression of this place should be confusion.
- A bit of internal ops. Not content ops, we already have someone excellent on that. This is the managerial side. Vendor coordination, office and admin running, internal approvals, keeping small processes from becoming big problems. It is a slice of the job, not the job.
Who You Are
- You are frighteningly organized. Chaos walks in, order walks out.
- You read people quickly. You will be the first human every candidate speaks to.
Within one call you should have a real opinion on whether they are worth the founders' time.
- You speak and write well. How you sound is how this company looks to everyone applying to it.
- You are not a pushover. You will have to tell a senior person their meeting is moving, or that their document is late. You do it politely, firmly, every time.
- You notice details. Wrong date on a letter, a name spelled two ways, a mismatch between two sheets. You catch it before anyone else does.
- You close loops. You do not leave a message unanswered or a task half done because nobody followed up. You are the follow up.
- You are hungry, coachable, and allergic to mediocrity.
About Experience
We are looking for 1 to 2 years of work experience. Not zero, because you should already know what a workplace feels like and how to talk to people senior to you. Not ten, because this is a role you grow into and we would rather build the habits with you than undo someone else's.
What that experience was in matters far less. HR, recruitment, sales, operations, hospitality, teaching, a family business, something else entirely. We will teach you recruitment, documentation, and how this company runs. What we cannot teach is how you carry yourself, whether you notice things, and how badly you want it.
What You Get
- Direct mentorship from the Partner and the Managing Partner. You learn hiring, judgement, and operations from the people doing it, not teaching it.
- A seat where you see everything. Strategy, hiring, decisions. Most people at your stage see none of it.
- Real ownership from month one. Your own roles to fill, your own systems to build. No fetching coffee.
- Weekends that are actually yours. Weekdays are intense and we will not pretend otherwise. When Friday ends, you shut off completely. No calls, no messages, no guilt.
- A career accelerator. People who do this role well become HR leads, chiefs of staff, and operators. Not assistants.
