We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA IS-Retail Solution Architect with strong experience in SAP Retail and S/4HANA to support a Greenfield S/4HANA IS-Retail implementation for a Middle East client.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in IS-Retail functional processes, solution architecture, business process design, requirement gathering, solution validation, and integration with relevant SAP modules

.

The Solution Architect will act as a key functional bridge between business stakeholders and the implementation partner

, ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable SAP solutions and that the proposed solution aligns with S/4HANA Retail best practices and business objectives

.

The role will involve leading solution discussions, reviewing functional designs and configurations, facilitating business workshops, supporting testing and UAT, and ensuring successful project execution.

Job Requirements / Qualification / Skills

Requirements

- 2–10 years of SAP Retail / IS-Retail experience with strong functional knowledge.(either in MM/ SD)
- Solid hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA IS-Retail .

- Experience in S/4HANA Greenfield implementation projects .

- Strong understanding of end-to-end Retail business processes .

- Experience in business requirement gathering and process analysis .

- Ability to conduct and participate in Fit-to-Standard / business workshops .

- Experience in solution architecture, solution design and validation .

- Ability to review functional specifications, solution proposals and SAP configurations prepared by the implementation partner.
- Strong experience working with business stakeholders and SI/implementation partners .

- Experience in preparing/reviewing process documents, user stories and future-state designs .

- Experience in SIT, UAT and defect resolution .





- Experience supporting cutover and go-live activities .

- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Retail best practices .

- Ability to identify functional gaps and recommend appropriate SAP-standard solutions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

- Lead the IS-Retail functional/solution architecture workstream during the Greenfield S/4HANA implementation.
- Gather, analyze and validate business requirements with key stakeholders.

- Act as the functional bridge between business users and the implementation partner .
- Drive solution design for end-to-end SAP Retail processes .
- Conduct and facilitate

Fit-to-Standard and business process workshops .

- Review and validate solution proposals, functional designs and configurations provided by the SI.
- Ensure the proposed solution aligns with

SAP S/4HANA Retail best practices and business objectives.

- Support preparation and validation of business process documents, user stories and future-state designs

.

- Coordinate with business and technical teams to resolve functional issues and gaps.
- Review functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams for required developments.

- Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution and business validation .
- Facilitate UAT cycles and cutover planning .
- Track project progress, risks, issues and dependencies related to the functional workstream.

- Coordinate with relevant SAP modules and integration teams to ensure end-to-end process alignment.
- Support data migration, mock cutover and go-live readiness activities where required.

- Ensure smooth communication between the customer, business stakeholders and implementation partner.
- Provide functional guidance and support during go-live and stabilization

.

- Continuously recommend process improvements aligned with SAP S/4HANA Retail best practices .
