Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mid-to-Senior Rotomation Artist to join our on-site team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between live-action production and computer graphics. You will be responsible for tracking, matching, and animating 3D character rigs, vehicles, and props to mirror real-world footage precisely.

Key Responsibilities

- Body Tracking & Object Matching: Manually manipulate, align, and animate 3D character rigs and hard-surface models to match live-action performances frame-by-frame.
- Camera & Matchmove Integration:



Work closely with the matchmove department to ensure digital assets sit perfectly within the tracked 3D camera space.
- Anatomy & Physics Realism: Ensure impeccable accuracy in tracking joints, weight distribution, and skeletal constraints of actors and stunt doubles.
- Pipeline Collaboration: Deliver clean, high-quality 3D animation data to downstream departments, including FX, Creatures, and Compositing.
- Problem Solving: Efficiently troubleshoot complex shots involving heavy motion blur, occlusion, or challenging camera angles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 2+ years of professional VFX production experience focusing on rotomation, matchmove, or character animation.
- Software Mastery: Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software, specifically Autodesk Maya (experience with 3d equalizer, Blender, or Nuke is a major plus).
- Technical Skills: Experience working with complex character rigs, skinning, and blendshapes.
- Work Style: Solid communication skills and the ability to take direction, adapt to feedback, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Location requirement: Ability to work full-time on-site at our studio facility.
- Prior experience in feature films, TV series, commercials, or OTT projects is an advantage.
