About the Role

Swid Renewables Limited is looking for a technically competent and highly accountable Project Owner Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of Industrial Solar EPC projects—from receipt of the Customer Purchase Order until successful commissioning and final handover.

The Project Owner Engineer will be the single point of coordination between the customer and Swid’s Design, Engineering, Procurement, Stores, Finance, Projects, Quality, Safety and Service teams.

While the Projects Team will execute the installation, the Project Owner Engineer will remain responsible for ensuring that the project is engineered correctly, adequately resourced, safely executed, completed on time, delivered within budget and handed over to the customer with the highest quality standards.

Although employed by Swid, the person will act as an Owner’s Engineer from the customer’s perspective , safeguarding the customer’s technical and quality expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Take complete ownership of assigned projects immediately after receipt of the Purchase Order.
- Review the project scope, technical specifications, commercial terms, payment milestones and completion schedule.
- Conduct technical site visits along with the Design Engineer.
- Collect and verify all technical inputs required for detailed engineering.
- Coordinate the preparation of layouts, SLDs, structural drawings, cable-routing plans and other project drawings.
- Submit drawings to the customer and coordinate until final approval.
- Ensure that execution is carried out according to the latest approved drawings.




- Coordinate with the Design Team for preparation and verification of the Bill of Materials.
- Share the final BOM with the Procurement and Stores teams and track material availability.
- Visit the stores to verify material segregation, packing, loading and dispatch.
- Coordinate pending procurement and direct-to-site material deliveries.
- Ensure that the correct material, quantity, make and specifications reach the project site on time.
- Coordinate with the customer for material-storage space, site access, permits, shutdowns, unloading and other site-readiness requirements.
- Assess suitable lodging and basic facilities for engineers and project workers.
- Coordinate with the customer and Finance Department for timely release of payments as per agreed terms.
- Formally hand over the approved drawings, BOM, materials, schedule, site risks and complete project scope to the Project Engineer.
- Monitor the Projects Team’s work as an independent Quality Control and Project Assurance representative.
- Conduct periodic site inspections and identify quality deviations, safety concerns, delays, wastage and rework.
- Coordinate corrective actions and ensure timely closure of all observations.
- Ensure successful testing, commissioning, documentation and closure of punch points.
- Obtain the customer’s completion acknowledgement and formally hand over the completed project.




- Coordinate final project handover to the Service/O&M; Department.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Renewable Energy Engineering
- Relevant experience in Solar EPC, preferably Industrial and Commercial Rooftop Solar projects
- Practical understanding of solar design, SLDs, layouts, BOMs, procurement, project execution and quality control
- Ability to read and review technical drawings and project specifications
- Strong coordination, documentation and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project payment milestones
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites, stores and supplier locations
- Ability to coordinate multiple departments while maintaining complete project ownership
- Strong sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability
