Project Name: Menstrual Hygiene (Kishori Urja) project

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced trainer who will support the planning and implementation of menstrual health and hygiene awareness initiatives in colleges. The role includes approaching colleges, securing permissions, conducting awareness sessions, conducting pre- and post-tests, coordinating sanitary pad distribution and maintaining programme documentation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and contact colleges to introduce the programme and seek permission for conducting sessions.
- Follow up with college authorities and coordinate session dates, timings, venues and participants.
- Plan and conduct engaging menstrual health and hygiene awareness sessions.
- Cover topics such as menstrual hygiene practices, menstrual products, safe disposal, myths and misconceptions, and when to seek medical support.
- Prepare presentations, activities and other session (IEC) materials.
- Plan sanitary pad distribution based on the requirements of each college.
- Coordinate with college authorities to ensure timely and organized distribution.
- Maintain records of sanitary pads received, distributed and remaining in stock.
- Maintain attendance sheets, permission records, session reports, pre- and post-test data records, photographs and participant feedback.
- Submit regular updates on colleges contacted, permissions obtained, sessions conducted, students reached, and sanitary pads distributed.
- Ensure that all sessions are conducted sensitively, respectfully and inclusively.
- Undertake travel to colleges and perform other project-related responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.
- Share weekly/ monthly updates with the reporting manager.
Profile Requisites:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Life Sciences or a related field.
- Knowledge of menstrual health and hygiene and adolescent or young women’s health will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in conducting awareness sessions, workshops, training or community outreach is preferred.
- Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Ability to approach and coordinate professionally with college authorities.
- Good planning, follow-up and time-management skills.
- Comfort and sensitivity in discussing menstrual health.
- Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Valuable documentation, reporting and stock-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel as required.
- Proficiency in English, Hindi and Marathi.
Remuneration - Subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit; the consultancy fees range is upto 25,000 per month.
