Job Summary The Electrical Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender documents for electrical projects. The role involves analyzing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine material, labour, and equipment costs while supporting the bidding and project execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems including:

- Power distribution

- Lighting systems

- Earthing and lightning protection
- ELV systems (CCTV, Fire Alarm, Access Control, Data & Telecom)
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and project documents.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare tender submissions, cost sheets, and bid proposals.
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams.




- Maintain estimation databases and historical cost records.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required.
- Identify project risks and incorporate contingencies into estimates.
- Support project handover by providing budget and estimation details.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 4-6 years of experience in electrical estimation, tendering, or quantity surveying.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or MEP projects.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and industry practices.

Required Skills

- Electrical quantity take-off and BOQ preparation.
- Tendering and bid management.
- Cost estimation and budgeting.

- Proficiency in

- Microsoft Excel

- Estimation software (if applicable)
- Robust analytical and negotiation skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
