- Position Overview
- We are looking for a Business / Product Analyst who understands data from a business perspective and can translate data-related findings into actionable business requirements and workflows.

- This role is focused on understanding and analyzing large, complex, and imperfect datasets, identifying data quality issues and patterns, and working closely with business and technical stakeholders to improve data review and validation processes.

- The ideal candidate should be comfortable independently exploring data, understanding schemas and business entities, identifying gaps and anomalies, and proactively surfacing insights rather than waiting for fully defined requirements.

- This is not a Data Engineering or Data Architecture role. The focus is on business analysis, product thinking, data quality, exploratory analysis, requirements gathering, and process improvement.

- What You'll Do
- • Partner with business leadership and technical teams to understand data schemas, key business entities, and existing data review processes.

- • Analyze current-state data quality, including:

- o Data coverage and completeness by field and entity type
- o Conflicts and inconsistencies across multiple data sources
- o Exceptions and anomalies outside expected patterns
- o Missing, incomplete, or inconsistent data

- • Translate business requirements and analytical findings into:

- o Clusters and flags for recurring data issues
- o Clear visualizations and summaries for business and technical stakeholders




- o Rules defining which issues require human review versus automated correction
- o Business process flows
- o User stories
- o Acceptance criteria
- o Data requirements

- • Facilitate working sessions with business and technical stakeholders to validate findings, requirements, and priorities.

- • Write basic SQL queries to explore and validate data, while partnering with engineers for more complex technical analysis.

- • Work with visualization and reporting teams to communicate findings effectively.

- • Maintain traceability between identified data issues, business rules, and resulting workflow behavior.

- • Document data quality findings and recommend improvements to increase data coverage and reduce manual review effort.

- • Use AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or similar tools to accelerate documentation, analysis, summarization, and research while validating outputs for accuracy and compliance.

- What We're Looking For
- • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Data Analyst, or Functional Analyst.

- • Experience delivering data quality, data governance, data onboarding, or data analysis initiatives.





- • Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management skills.

- • Experience with:

- o Data coverage and completeness analysis
- o Data reconciliation and conflict resolution across sources
- o Exploratory data analysis
- o Pattern and anomaly identification
- o Data quality reporting and dashboarding

- • Strong working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to independently query and explore datasets.

- • Comfortable working with engineers and discussing:

- o Data schemas and data models
- o Query logic
- o Basic data flows
- o Visualization and reporting tools

- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and operational risks.

- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- • Ability to independently scope, structure, and drive analysis without requiring fully defined requirements.

- • Strong ability to translate analytical findings into clear business requirements and actionable workflows.

- Nice to Have
- • Experience with data onboarding, master data management, or system-of-record migration initiatives.

- • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

- • Experience working with large-scale or complex datasets.

- • Exposure to AI-driven or agentic workflows for data validation, review, or automation.

- • Experience with data visualization and BI tools.
