Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Plant Head to oversee the complete manufacturing operations of our masala production plant. The candidate will be responsible for managing production, manpower, machinery, quality, maintenance, inventory, food safety, and overall plant performance while ensuring production targets are achieved efficiently and on time.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Plant Operations

- Manage and supervise the complete day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Plan and execute production schedules according to business requirements.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timelines.
- Monitor the manufacturing process from raw material handling to finished-product packaging.
- Improve production efficiency and minimize wastage and downtime.

Ensure smooth coordination between production, packaging, quality, maintenance, and stores departments. Fooding and accomodation will be provided by management.

Quality & Food Safety

- Ensure that masala products meet defined quality and hygiene standards.
- Implement and maintain proper food safety and hygiene practices throughout the plant.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control/Quality Assurance team for regular inspections and testing.
- Ensure proper batch control, traceability, labeling, and packaging standards.
- Take immediate corrective action in case of quality deviations or production issues.

Manpower Management
- Manage and supervise plant staff, operators, packaging workers, supervisors, and other production personnel.
- Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, discipline, and performance.
- Train employees on production procedures, hygiene, quality, and workplace safety.
- Develop a productive and disciplined plant working environment.





Machinery & Maintenance
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of production and packaging machinery.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Minimize machine downtime and production interruptions.
- Ensure proper utilization of plant equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel/vendors for timely repairs.

Inventory & Material Management
- Coordinate with the purchase/stores team for timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Monitor consumption and minimize material wastage.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels for uninterrupted production.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials and finished goods.

Cost & Process Improvement
- Monitor production costs and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Implement processes to reduce wastage of raw materials, packaging materials, manpower, and utilities.
- Identify opportunities for improving productivity and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and review plant performance reports and MIS.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, fire safety, and food safety requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure employees follow PPE and safety procedures.
- Maintain required plant records and documentation.

Required Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Production, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant field.




- MBA/PGDM in Operations or Production Management will be an added advantage.

Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in plant/production management.
- Experience in FMCG, food processing, spices, masala, or similar manufacturing industries will be highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience handling complete plant operations and production teams will be preferred.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
