The Payment Executive will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all vendor, employee, and statutory payments. The role requires close coordination with the Accounts, Procurement, and Compliance teams to ensure smooth payment cycles, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to internal financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements after verification of supporting documents and approvals.
- Prepare and execute payment instructions through NEFT/RTGS/cheque as per approved payment schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing payments in the accounting system and reconcile with bank statements on a daily basis.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies or delays.
- Ensure all payments comply with TDS deduction requirements and other applicable statutory norms.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of payment reports and outstanding liability statements.
- Maintain proper filing (physical and digital) of payment vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents for audit purposes.
- Support internal and statutory audits by providing requested payment-related data and documentation.
- Monitor cash flow requirements and flag any anticipated shortfalls to the Finance Manager in advance.
- Ensure adherence to the company's Financial Year (April–March) reporting timelines for all payment-related closures.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/BBA-Finance or equivalent).
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, payment processing, or a similar finance role.
- Working knowledge of Tally, SAP, or similar ERP/accounting software.
- Sound understanding of TDS, banking processes, and general statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for reconciliation and reporting.

- Ability to work under deadlines, especially during month-end/year-end closing periods.
- Sound understanding of banking procedures (NEFT/RTGS/cheque processing).
- Basic knowledge of GST-related payment adjustments where applicable to vendor transactions.
